The VN-Index surged 1.4% (+18.1 pts) on Monday to close the trading day at 1,332.5. Real estate and bank stocks fueled the market’s gain. Across the index, there were 229 gainers, 72 laggards, and 44 unchanged stocks. Total trading volume increased from the previous trading day to USD895.4mn.
* Real estate tickers VHM (+6.8%), BCM (+4.9%), KDH (+3.2%), NVL (+2.8%), and KBC (+3.0%) jumped, while VIC (+1.6%) strongly gained.
* Banks CTG (+1.2%), HDB (+2.3%), VCB (+0.4%), LPB (+1.7%), and TCB (+0.7%) were among the top ten gainers affecting the index.
* Industrial stocks GEE (+3.8%), GEX (+4.2%), GMD (+4.5%), and VGC (+4.5%) sharply increased.
* Other notable gainers included rubber producer GVR (+6.9%), chemical company DGC (+2.5%), fish exporter VHC (+6.8%), food & beverage conglomerate MSN (+0.9%), and utility companies REE (+2.1%) and POW (+1.1%).
