Market wrap: VN-Index sees slight 0.1% gain 

The VN-Index saw a slight gain of 0.1% (+0.6 pts) on Friday to close the trading week at 1,314.5. The index’s performance was  driven by mixed results among large-cap stocks, with half of the VN30 group gaining and 12 tickers declining, with 3 unchanged. Across the index, there were 154 gainers, 148 laggards, and 54 unchanged stocks. Total trading volume plunged from the previous trading day to USD651.2mn.

* Banks VCB (-0.2%), BID (-0.4%), TCB (-1.1%), CTG (-0.1%), and VPB (-1.1%) fell. ACB (+1.2%), STB (+1.7%), and EIB (+1.4%) surged.  

* Several consumer services stocks declined, including VPL (-1.8%), MWG (-0.2%), HVN (-0.4%), FRT (-0.8%), DGW (-2.0%), and SCS (-0.2%). VJC (+0.7%) gained.  

* Real estate companies VHM (+1.0%) and VRE (+1.2%), utility company GAS (+3.3%), oil & gas company BSR (+1.2%), and industrial companies GEE (+6.9%) and GEX (+5.3%) were among the top gainers in other sectors.  

* Notable laggards included food & beverage conglomerate MSN (-1.3%), real estate company BCM (-1.5%), industrial company VGC (-3.1%), utility company POW (-1.8%), and oil & gas company PLX (-1.3%).
