On Tuesday, the VN-Index posted a marginal gain of 0.1% (+0.6 pts) to close the trading day at 1,246.9. Banks drove the index's rise, contributing seven of the top ten stocks that positively influenced its performance. Throughout the index, there were 156 gainers, 252 laggards, and 62 stocks that were unchanged. Total trading volume decreased compared to the previous trading day to USD520.3mn.
* The seven banks mentioned above are BID (+4.1%), MBB (+2.1%), NAB (+6.9%), CTG (+0.7%), STB (+1.8%), LPB (+1.3%), and ACB (+0.8%). VCB (-0.7%), VPB (-0.5%), and HDB (-1.0%) declined.
* In real estate, VHM and VIC saw no changes. BCM (+3.3%), KBC (+3.3%), and SIP (+1.5%) surged, while VRE (-1.2%), KDH (-2.7%), NVL (-1.4%), and PDR (-3.8%) plunged.
* Basic materials stocks performed poorly for the second consecutive day, as GVR (-3.7%), DGC (-0.2%), and DCM (-0.3%) posted losses, and HPG was unchanged.
