The VN-Index gained 0.6% (+8.6 pts) on Tuesday to close the trading day at 1,366.8. Real estate and financial services led the market’s rise. Across the index, there were 174 gainers, 127 laggards, and 65 unchanged stocks. Total trading volume sharply increased from the previous trading day to USD978.9mn.

* Key real estate tickers VIC (+3.2%), VHM (+4.5%), BCM (+2.3%), and DXG (+3.1%) surged for the second consecutive day. KBC (-1.0%) declined.

* Financial services stocks were strong, as SSI (+2.3%), VCI (+1.7%), VND (+6.3%), VIX (+3.6%), and HCM (+3.0%) surged.

* In banking, BID (+0.4%), TCB (+0.6%), CTG (+0.5%), VPB (+0.8%), and LPB (+0.6%) gained. VCB and MBB were unchanged. ACB (-0.2%) edged down.

* Notable gainers from other sectors included airline HVN (+3.8%), insurance company BVH (+5.7%), food & beverage conglomerate MSN (+1.8%), industrial company GEX (+3.8%), and steelmaker HPG (+0.5%).

* Utility company GAS (-4.8%) and oil & gas companies BSR (-4.8%) and PLX (-5.3%) plunged.
