The VN-Index gained 0.2% (+2.5 pts) to close the trading day at 1,311.9. TCB (+5.4%) had the strongest positive effect on the market while a diverse range of stocks also contributed. Across the index, there were 211 gainers, 260 laggards, and 65 stocks unchanged. Total trading volume increased from the previous trading day to USD907.1mn.
* In addition to TCB, EIB (+2.8%), MBB (+1.3%), CTG (+0.9%), STB (+0.9%), and ACB (+0.6%) saw solid gains. VCB (-0.3%), BID (-0.4%), VPB (-0.5%), LPB (-1.1%), and HDB (-0.2%) declined.
* Among real estate stocks, VHM (-1.2%) plunged, and VIC (-0.2%), NVL (-0.9%), SIP (-0.2%), and VPI (-0.3%) fell. KBC (+1.7%) surged and BCM (+0.3%) and KDH (+0.5%) gained.
* Basic resources tickers HPG (-0.7%), HSG (-1.1%), NKG (-1.3%), ACG (-0.9%), and PTB (-1.3%) performed poorly.
* Other stocks that helped lift the index included rubber producer GVR (+1.2%), food & beverage conglomerate MSN (+1.6%), airline HVN (+2.2%), utility company GAS (+0.7%), and retailer MWG (+1.2%).
