The VN-Index edged up 0.4% (+4.6 pts) on Friday to close the week at 1,209.5. The index’s gain was led by banks and diverse stocks from various sectors. Throughout the market, there were 209 gainers, 227 laggards, and 97 stocks that were unchanged. Total trading volume increased to USD611.7mn.
* In the banks sector, HDB (+4.9%), TCB (+0.98%), SHB (+3.2%), and VCB (+0.2%) were in the top ten stocks lifting the index. BID (-0.8%), CTG (-0.6%), and VPB (-0.3%) lost value. MBB (0.0%) and SSB (0.0%) were unchanged.
* Real estate was the leading sector during the trading day, largely due to VIC (+5.8%) surging. VHM (+0.3%), NVL (+0.3%), and KDH (+1.2%) also saw their share prices increase.
