VN-Index rises as 622 support holds for second day. Vietnamese stocks looked likely to extend last week's 3.8% slump on Monday when the VN-Index opened lower and continued to drop. However, just as on Friday, 622 held as a support level, and the index ended the morning session in the green. After a small dip in the afternoon into negative territory, the market closed up 2.07 points, or 0.3%, to 629.46. But trading value fell to a five-month low, reflecting restrained investor optimism for now.
