Market wrap: VN-Index jumps at end of trading

The VN-Index struggled for most of Tuesday’s session, but it soared just before the end of trading to ultimately close up by 1.5%.

* Vingroup subsidiaries VHM (+4.9%) and VRE (+3.5%) bounced back from their respective 6.6% and 6.4% declines on Monday. On the other hand, parent company VIC (-2.4%) fell for its fourth consecutive session.

* Banks TCB (+5.9%), VCB (+1.0%), CTG (+2.5%), VPB (+2.7%), BID (+1.6%), STB (+5.9%) and EIB (+6.9%) were among the day’s top contributing gainers.

* Securities brokerages SSI (+6.5%), VCI (+6.9%), VND (+6.9%) and HCM (+6.9%) experienced robust gains.
