Market wrap: VN-Index falls for fourth straight session, hits six-month low 

On Tuesday, the VN-Index dropped 1.8% to close at a six-month low of 1,406.45 as the market continued to be hit by a broad selloff across sectors.  

*  GVR (-4.9%) snapped a four-session winning streak and was the top contributor to the day’s loss.

*  Banks were down across the board, led by TCB (-2.6%), VPB (-2.3%), MBB (-3.3%), SHB (-6.7%) and ACB (-3.5%). 

*  Large-cap tickers MSN (-2.8%) and VHM (-1.3%) both fell for the fourth straight session. 

*  FPT (-3.0%) and MWG (-2.6%) have both cooled off after recently hitting all-time highs. 

*  On the positive side, steelmaker HPG (+1.5%) was the top contributing gainer as it ended a three-session losing streak. VJC (+3.5%) has increased 5.3% over the last two days while DGC (+4.0%) jumped to a new record high. In addition, fertilizer manufacturers DPM (+4.3%) and DCM (+2.3%) climbed
