Market wrap: VN-Index falls as trading turnover slumps

The VN-Index declined by half of a percent on Monday with cautious investor sentiment as trading turnover on HOSE slumped to a 12-session low of USD424.2mn. 

* GAS (-2.9%) ended a four-session winning streak and was the top contributor to the day’s loss. 

* GVR (-3.0%) dropped for its third consecutive session. On the other hand, fellow industrial real estate player BCM (+1.9%) has jumped 9.0% over the last two trading sessions. 

* Banks VPB (-1.8%), CTG (-1.1%), MBB (-1.2%), TPB (-2.3%) and ACB (-1.2%) fell. 

* VIC (+1.2%) was the day’s top contributing gainer. Vingroup subsidiary VRE (+1.1%) also advanced.
