Market wrap: VN-Index drops 2.2% to start week 

On Monday, the VN-Index plunged 2.2% to start the new week as investors aggressively sold off stocks to lock in profits with the long Tet Holiday approaching. Notably, 114 tickers fell to the daily trading floor. 

*  The real estate & construction sector suffered heavy losses, led by VHM (-4.0%), GVR (-6.9%), VRE (-6.3%), NVL (-2.4%) and BCM (-4.4%). Additionally, NLG (-6.9%), DXG (-6.9%) and DIG (-7.0%) all dropped the maximum daily amount. 

*  Large caps HPG (-6.0%), MSN (-5.3%) and VNM (-1.9%) were among the day’s top contributing decliners.

*  Most banks were down, led by VPB (-2.5%) and TPB (-5.6%). However, VCB (+4.3%), ACB (+2.7%), TCB (+1.0%) MBB (+0.9%) and EIB (+1.2%) bucked the trend.
