Market wrap: VN-Index closes nearly unchanged

The VN-Index was nearly unchanged on Wednesday after climbing 2.7% over the previous two days.

* BID (+3.7%) was the top contributing gainer and has increased more than 18% over the last seven trading sessions. Meanwhile, fellow banks VCB (-1.0%), EIB (-4.6%) and ACB (-1.2%) declined.

* GVR (-2.5%) snapped a five-session winning streak.

* Among food & beverage players, SAB (-2.0%) retreated following three consecutive positive sessions. Conversely, VNM (+2.1%) increased.

* Airline HVN (-2.7%) decreased after jumping more than 8% in this week’s first two trading sessions.
