The VN-Index was up six tenths of a percent in late afternoon trading until a sharp sell-off in the session’s final 20 minutes caused the index to only gain less than a tenth of a percent on the day. Nevertheless, the small gain snapped a streak of four straight negative sessions. BID (+0.8%) was the leading contributing gainer as it posted its first increase since November 20. Fellow banks VPB (+1.2%) and MBB (+1.1%) also advanced. HPG (+1.8%) has gone up 3% over the past three sessions
