Stocks slump but eke out weekly gain. The VN-Index ended the week and month on a down note on Friday, closing off 4.91 points, or 0.8%, to 652.23. The pullback was led by usual market movers VIC (-2.9%), VCB (-1.8%), VNM (-1.3%) and BVH (-0.8%). MSN (-3.0%) fell to a fresh five-and-a-half-year low amid foreign selling pressure despite releasing better than expected Q2 earnings results today.
