After trading in positive territory throughout Monday morning, the VN-Index dropped in the afternoon to close down by three tenths of a percent as trading turnover on HOSE slumped to USD187.3mn — well below the one-month average of USD247.4mn. SAB (-2.9%) was the leading contributor to the day’s loss as it fell for the first time since June 30. VRE (-2.0%) sank to a 10-day low. Vingroup subsidiary VHM (-0.4%) and parent company VIC (-0.1%) also declined.
