The VN-Index rose for a second consecutive day on Thursday, closing up seven tenths of a percent. Trading value on HOSE reached USD178mn, below the last month’s average of USD218mn. VHM (+3.3%) was the top contributor to the day’s gain followed by its parent company VIC (+1.8%). It was a mixed day for banks as VCB (+1.8%), BID (+2.0%) and CTG (+0.7%) climbed, while EIB (-2.8%), TCB (-0.8%) and VPB (-1.2%) fell on the day.
