Vietnamese stocks opened higher Wednesday and soon peaked above 665 before sliding the rest of the session to close up 1.61 points, or 0.2%, to 660.77. The 665-666 level twice repulsed rallies last week and seems to be short-term resistance level. VCB (+1.9%) was the top contributor to the index today, followed by VNM (+1.4%), which reached a new record high after extending a 29% jump over the last two months.
